Jennifer Rene Psaki

Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who served as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 until 2022. A member of the Democratic Party, Psaki was previously the White House deputy secretary (2009), White House deputy director of communications (2009-2011), spokesperson for United States Department of State 2013-2015 as well as the White House communications Director (2015-2017). Psaki contributed to CNN's politics coverage of 2017 to 2020. Psaki started her career as an Iowa Democratic senator, Tom Harkin, and then became the governor of Iowa. Psaki was then appointed deputy press secretary to John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. Psaki was also the communications director for Joseph Crowley (U.S.) and as regional press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications, serving as press secretary to Obama's reelection campaign for 2012. [20] Psaki was named spokesperson for United States Department of State in February 2013. [20] The speculations that she would be replacing Jay Carney White House Press secretary once he left for White House in the year 21 were fuelled by her appointment at the Department of State. However, Josh Earnest was announced as the replacement of Carney on May 30, 2014. She was named communications director in the White House and continued to do so until the end in 2015.
